QUT Corporate Partners in Excellence

The QUT Faculty of Business Corporate Partners in Excellence (CPIE) program offers a small group of exceptional school leavers a three-year degree qualification that includes work experience with sponsoring organisations.

The CPIE program is open to students who plan to study the Bachelor of Business majoring in any of the nine majors.

Recipients complete a three-year degree that includes two 15 week internships with one or more of the sponsoring organisations. This provides the chance to practically apply knowledge gained at university in a real business environment, to build invaluable networks, contribute to personal development and increase career prospects through contact with employers.

The full CPIE scholarship is worth $36,000. Students receive $12,000 per year, paid each semester, for the three-year duration of their degree to cover HECS, university fees, textbook and living expenses.

The RNA is a sponsor organisation for the program and since 2006 has sponsored a scholarship in the areas of accounting and marketing.

Chris Royle undertook a three month work placement in the RNA's Marketing, Sponsorship and Sales department. "I feel very privileged to be given this opportunity to put my uni skills into practice," he said. "I'm still finding out what areas of business I enjoy; though I would eventually like to work in marketing management."
